Each month, we analyze consumer sentiment and engagement across Reddit to highlight which Canadian cannabis brands are dominating the conversation. For March 2025, we’ve compiled data from six cannabis-focused subreddits, zeroing in on one specific product type: flower only (excluding pre-rolls and milled offerings).
Our sentiment bias chart below breaks down the percentage share of total trend score—our in-house metric combining post engagement, upvotes, and discussion intensity—for each brand. Sentiment is also categorized as positive (green), negative (red), or neutral (yellow).

Key Insights
- A total of 123 flower brands were discussed in March.
- The chart above visualizes the top 24 brands, which together accounted for 80.5% of total flower-related engagement—meaning you're looking at the top 19.5% of all brands by trend score.
- Woody Nelson, 1964, and Sixty Seven Sins led the pack in both trend share and overwhelmingly positive sentiment.
- Ministry of Sativa, Four54, and EastCann also maintained high engagement with almost entirely positive discussion.
- BC OZ, Volo, Northern Canna, and Carmel Cannabis showed a more mixed sentiment profile, with some notable negative engagement.
- The "Other (99)" category, while collectively contributing nearly 20% of the trend score, featured brands with lower individual visibility.
What This Means
Consumers are increasingly vocal about their flower preferences, and positive buzz matters. Brands like Woody Nelson and 1964 continue to benefit from strong reputations, while others may need to address quality concerns or marketing missteps that led to negative discussion.
