July 2024 Top Flowers by Sentiment

July 2024 Top Flowers by Sentiment

Top Canadian Cannabis Products as calculated by the average of sentiment across every Reddit review for that product in the last 30 days.

Our AI is now capable of applying a numerical scale to the sentiment analyzed in each post. We’ve collected this data for a few weeks now, so we thought it would be time to look back at which product names achieved the highest sentiment on average.

Method and Purpose

We’ve gathered a lot of sentiment data from many cannabis reviews, giving us the opportunity to compile this list from products reviewed by multiple reviewers. This is a composite average of a canon of opinions. Products that have done well here have been favourably reviewed by more than one person, at least. While this may not say much now, as we continue to collect data, that number will grow.

Outline of Data Used for this Post

Data Criteria

Just to clarify, the particulars used to create this post focus on flower and pre-roll products. All reviews selected are less than 30 days old. Each product has been reviewed by more than one reviewer.

Key Variables Used

The key variables are the name of the product and the sentiment scale out of 10 points. We’re also counting the number of reviewers so you can know how many scores created the average out of 10 points, and the count of brands that may be listing that product name.

We’ve used automated scraping to gather the data and AI to extract sentiment, but a human researcher will provide insights into the brands listing these product names and why you might care about each product.

Why Read This?

The aim of this post is product name awareness and we've filtered it to show offerings reviewed by multiple people. In other words, it’s a way to know which strains are good from an average of multiple opinions. We also give background on the offering; who made it and who produced it.

You can ask your budtender if they stock a particular strain, and they might be able to recommend a brand, or it might just let them know you want to buy that product. Read this to get some market intelligence on what’s good for flower and pre-roll products in the Canadian cannabis market over the past 30 days. I’ll explain why I think these products are on the list and which brands are producing them.

Sentiment Included is Good and Bad

Keep in mind that sentiment goes both ways, so we will look at products on the list for good reasons and a few for the wrong reasons. Not everything you see here will be worth buying; some of it may be worth avoiding.

Summary Data Table

Let's get to it. We're doing all 17 here products in descending order with respect to their average score. For every product we give a quick introduction and summary of the review data before moving onto the next one.
